Kaplan turbine (also called axial flow hydroturbine) is suitable for developing medium and low water head power resources. Kaplan turbine with both fixed blade and rotating blade can be provided. The turbine with fixed blade is mainly used for small hydropower station with medium and small capacity and small variation in load, while turbine with rotating blade is used for hydropower station with medium and big capacity and big variation in load.
Our kaplan turbine units are suitable for 7-15m water head with runner diameter 0.8-1m and power 200-500KW.
