A cardinal mark is a sea mark or a buoy which is used to indicate the position of a danger or hazardous area. Cardinal marks indicate the direction of safety as a compass direction(north,east,south or west) relative to the mark.
South cardinal mark is set at the southern direction of the danger or hazardous area. The ships should sail through the southern position of this mark.
Materials
To meet our customers’ different requirements, the materials to produce the cardinal marks can be different. It can be fiber reinforced plastic(FRP), steel or ultra high molecular weight polyethylene(UHMWPE). All materials used in this product are environmentally friendly. The inner of the buoy is filled with polyurethane closed cell foam.

- The cardinal marks comply with the standard of International Association of Lighthouse Authorities(IALA).
