HVG MARINE PROPULSION EQUIPMENT 0005 – Hydraulic Tunnel Thruster

According to the propeller type, our tunnel thrusters are fallen into controllable pitch propeller tunnel thruster (CPP type) and fixed pitch propeller tunnel thruster (FPP type). Our tunnel thrusters can be driven by diesel engine, electric motor or hydraulic motor. This one is the hydraulic-driven type. It gets power supply from hydraulic pack and generates thruster through propeller rotation. Compare with electric motor bow thruster, hydraulic bow thruster has a simple structure which can save a lot of space. Our tunnel thruster is widely used to improve the maneuverability of vessels when docking or steering.
