HVG MARINE STEEL 0063: Unequal Leg and Thickness Angles

The unequal leg and thickness angles are a kind of special steel angles which are with unequal legs and different thickness of walls. They are also known as “L-section steel”. They are often used for shipbuilding. Compared with bulb flats, the unequal leg and thickness angles have larger section modulus and rigidity. What’s more, under the condition of same section modulus, the unequal leg and thickness angles can increase the loading and economic benefits. They are described by both leg length (longer first) and the both wall thickness (thinner first), eg. L250×90×9×13. In addition to shipbuilding, the unequal leg and thickness angles can be used for bridges, power transmission towers, beams… We are capable of supplying a wide range of steel grades and dimensions of the angles. If you are interested in our unequal leg and thickness angles, welcome to contact us.
