Bulb flats is a kind of steel sections with an optimum weight ratio. They are used in shipbuilding as plate stiffeners in different fields of application. Their shape guarantees many advantages compared with other reinforcement solutions: first, bulb flats are the most economical reinforcement for plates; second, they have obvious advantages in strength to weight ratio than other possible reinforcement; their shape reduce welding to minimum during installation… The hot rolled bulb flats are made of marine steel certified by leading classification societies, such as CCS, ABS, BV, LR, GL… They are produced by top steel mills which have mature technology, strict quality management and rich production experience.
