HVG MARINE PROPULSION EQUIPMENT 0083: Tunnel Bow Thruster

Tunnel bow thruster is the main equipment of the side propulsion for vessels. It includes one set of tunnel, propeller hub with blades, propeller shafting, mesh gear and driving shaft in it. The maximum input power is from 63KW to 1000Kw. And the maximum thrust is from 95KN to 155KN. Our tunnel bow thrusters can be driven by electric motor, diesel engine, and hydraulic motor. The driven motor drive the driving shaft of the thruster and the propeller shaft is rotated at low speed through the bevel gears. And then the thruster will push the ships toward the starboard or port, so it greatly improves the maneuverability of ship.
