ISO 799:2004 Ensures Ladder Meets Quality and Performance Requirements
As from the 21st July 2011 all ladders sold to or purchased by European Registered Vessels require to be manufactured to BS ISO 799: 2004 MED Annex A.1/4.49. Previous IMO Instruments did not include specific requirements for prototype and component testing. This is deemed necessary to ensure conformity and performance. Ladders to these requirements must bear the
Ship Wheel Mark and come with a declaration of conformity.
