Davit-launched inflatable liferaft is one kind of inflatable liferaft,mainly used in passenger ships,research vessel or teaching boat,suitable for installing in the vessels sailing on international voyages.Unlike self-righting life rafts,davit-launched inflatable liferaft is equipped with a righting belt at the bottom of the raft,stretching from one side of the cylinder to the other side to form a ‘V’ or ‘Y’ shape,when the raft is in capsized state,we can use it to righting the liferafts.Compared with other types of liferafts,davit-launched inflatable liferaft has a advantage that it allows crew and passengers get on the liferaft just from deck, then the raft hanging down to the water.
