HVG Dredge Heavy Duty Active Drag Head is to excavate the soil and transform it and the seawater into a mixture. The higher the density of the mixture the drag head can create, the better it is performing. Furthermore, the drag head represents the first mechanical contact with the soil, so its design, quality and sturdiness are critical in dredging tasks. Ongoing development has resulted in active soil excavation by the drag head, either with water or teeth. HVG has invested many years of practical experience and testing to create optimal drag head solutions for extracting the maximum of bottom soil at minimum time and cost, and continues to do so.

The dredge heavy duty drag heads offer a combination of high excavation capabilities for loosening the soil and optimized hydraulic properties for mixture transportation. High mixture concentrations are possible in many kinds of soil. The dredge drag heads are welded constructions made of structural steel. Cutting teeth of abrasion resistant cast steel and jet water nozzles are arranged over the whole width of the visor.
