HVG DREDGING EQUIPMENT 0023: Turning Gland

Description

HVG Turning Gland is for side suction pipe system of the trailing suction hopper dredger.Turning gland is bolted between the lower suction pipe and the cardan hinge in a trailing pipe of a Trailing Suction Hopper Dredger.It is designed by modular principle for heavy duty operation in any type of soil anywhere in the world. The turning gland enables the drag head to better follow the sea bottom or ocean floor. The turning gland allows a radial rotation in both directions of 15°. The turning gland consists of an inner and an outer pipe and has mechanical stops to limit rotation. Two bearings and a sealing make for a trouble-free use.
